Tagging Items

Follow these directions to ensure your items show their best and entice shoppers to buy

Items not adhering to these guidelines may be pulled from the sales floor - don't let that happen!

We find different safety pin sizes best for various tasks

• Please check clothing for stains and tears prior to tagging and avoid bringing those items as they may be pulled from the sales floor.
• Please ensure toys contain all pieces and are in good working order. ​​
• Print tags on regular white printer paper - no colored paper or colored ink. Our scanners won't be able to read them!
• Attach tags to upper right of clothing as shown in photo - they need to be in that spot so they are visible when clothes are hanging on the racks! Please use safety pins to attach - no staples or tagging guns which cause tags to fall off so items cannot be sold.
• Be descriptive when entering items - it ensures we can look up items that lose their tags and still sell them when people want to buy them! (And trust us - there are LOTS of lost tags and lots of people who still want to buy the items at every sale.) 
• Please don't tape, staple or cover the bar code portion of the tags or place them inside ziplock bags. Scanners can't read through tape or bags! See photo on how to correctly tape them.
• All items unsold by 8:00 pm on Friday will be marked down by 50% unless the Red X checkbox is marked on the tag. (X means eXclude from 50% sale)
• Select whether you want to donate items if they don't sell by checking the "D" box when tagging.
• Our default says YES to 50% sale and NO to Donate.​
• Consignors may each bring 250 items to each sale. The system will allow you 250 AVAILABLE items per sale. Change an item's availability by checking/unchecking the "A" box.

Please submit only items in excellent condition, free of stains/tears/damage and in working condition, currently fashionable, which contain all necessary pieces and are ready for resale. Typical items include: ​

FALL Sale:

Ensure hanger hooks left and tag is attached upper right to ensure shoppers can see tags while clothes hang on racks!

Descriptive tag helps sell item and enables us to look up item if tag is lost.

Helpful Hints

• Before tagging your items, sort through and organize them by gender, type and size. ​​
• For small items like baby clothes, wire hangers can be bent to fit or items pinned to the hanger.
• Consider adding a note on your tag in order to better sell the item, such as: "Hardly used!" "Works great!" "Batteries included," etc.
• If you plan to donate your items, don't forget to OPT IN for the 50% sale. Otherwise you're giving stuff away that might have sold for half price!​

Federal regulations prevent us from accepting any car seats, CO2 detectors, smoke detectors, make-up, candy or food. 

Please review the latest list of recalled children’s products and toys at www.safekids.org/product-recalls do not bring any recalled items to the sale.
